Pharmacist Sigismund Fronckevich becomes co-owner and develops the direction of a chemical laboratory

From a small laboratory "Medfro" transforms into a modern factory with several departments and modernised laboratories

Vici Shoe Cream receives Grand Prix and Grand Gold Medal at the Paris International Exhibition

Kalceks patents a "can opener".
1932
"Medfro" is the only company in Latvia and the largest in the Baltic States that produces medicinal products in ampoules
1941
Production of the anti-influenza drug Calcex is launched, from which AS Kalceks gets its name
1941
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company "Medfro" merges with Chemical and Pharmaceutical Factory "Farmazāns" to form Chemical and Pharmaceutical Factory "Farmazāns."
1965
"Farmazāns" products are exported to Europe, Japan, the UK, and other countries
1992
Kalceks becomes an independent pharmaceutical company focusing on parenteral dosage forms. The company starts to specialise in the production of injection solutions.

Kalceks acquires the status of a joint-stock company
